We have dedicated Community Outreach Workers who identify suitable projects and initiatives that reflect the needs of the community and what is happening around them at that time. It was important to us that we respect local expertise and knowledge, and so all Community Outreach Workers are Ugandan Nationals living within the communities we are supporting. They are our are our eyes and ears and work with local council leaders and village elders to best understand the challenges that the communities are facing every.
The projects involve a range of initiatives to support community members in learning new trades and skills. All knowledge is acquired from local experts in workshops organised by our team.
In doing so, these individuals learn how to set up small businesses with the aim of generating ongoing revenue. We have a big emphasis on empowering individuals on the ground within the community to take chances and, with our support, gain the relevant experience needed to ensure their businesses are sustainable.
We aim to be transparent and act with integrity at all times.
No donations are used for administrative or salary costs although all representatives of Tulinawe are paid a Living Wage.
